About Decompression therapy.

Human spine in x-ray

Decompression therapy is a non-surgical procedure. It is recommended by doctors after an evaluation of your back and neck pain. The sessions and procedures are based on a treatment plan that takes your overall needs and health goals into consideration. The treatment plan will also determine the duration of the procedures and amount of sessions.

During sessions, the spine is slowly stretched using a traction table. As a result, the position of the spine is adjusted. This takes the pressure off the spinal disks and nerves which leads to back and neck pain relief. Apart from that, decompression therapy is also useful in helping individuals with other health conditions like:

  • Sciatica
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Bulging or herniated disks
  • Degenerative disk disease
  • Injured or diseased spinal nerve roots
